Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of StackMatch websites, applications, browser extensions, and related services (the “Service”), operated at stackmatch.space and its application and community subdomains.

By creating an account, installing the StackMatch extension, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

StackMatch helps job seekers discover roles, match profiles to openings, manage applications, use AI-assisted coaching tools, participate in community discussion, and use Copilot-assisted form filling on third-party application sites.

Features may change over time. Some capabilities require a paid subscription, credits, or additional configuration. We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practical.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

StackMatch is intended for adults seeking employment-related information and tools. You must be at least 16 years old (or the higher age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service.

The StackMatch browser extension can scan job pages and application forms and help prepare or fill answers from your profile and materials. You remain responsible for reviewing every form before submission.

You—not StackMatch—submit applications to employers and third-party applicant tracking systems (ATS). You are solely responsible for complying with those sites’ terms of use, privacy policies, and any employer rules. Do not use Copilot to circumvent security controls, CAPTCHAs where prohibited, rate limits, or access restrictions.

StackMatch does not guarantee that any application will be accepted, reviewed, or successful, or that filled fields will always be complete or correct for a given ATS.

AI Coach tools (including mock interview, resume review, and fit check) and Copilot generation features may send relevant profile, resume, job, or answer content to third-party AI providers to produce outputs.

AI outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable. You must review and edit them before relying on them for applications, interviews, or other decisions. AI features are not professional legal, career, or employment advice.

You may not: misuse the Service to harass, defraud, or misrepresent yourself to employers; scrape or attack StackMatch infrastructure; reverse engineer the Service except where permitted by law; resell access without our written consent; upload malware; or use the Service in violation of applicable law.

Community features must follow posted community guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms or those guidelines.

Paid plans and credit packs are billed through Stripe. Prices, quotas, and plan benefits are shown in Careers Hub billing at the time of purchase. Taxes may apply.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew until canceled. Canceling stops future renewal; access typically continues through the end of the paid period. Credit packs and consumed AI usage are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us.

You retain ownership of resumes, profiles, messages, and other content you submit. You grant StackMatch a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate and improve the Service, including sending necessary excerpts to subprocessors (such as hosting, email, payments, and AI providers) described in our Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the rights to submit the content you provide and that it does not infringe others’ rights.

You may request account deletion from Careers Hub settings. When you delete your account, we deactivate access and anonymize identifying account fields; some records and uploaded files may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy and for legal, security, or operational reasons.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STACKMATCH DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DOES NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, ACCURATE JOB MATCHING, OR SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYMENT OUTCOMES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STACKMATCH AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOST OPPORTUNITIES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED TO THIRD PARTIES.

OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO STACKMATCH FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or third parties, fail to pay fees when due, or if we discontinue the Service.

Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing-law terms) survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we may provide additional notice through the Service when appropriate.
