Privacy Policy

This policy explains how StackMatch handles personal information across stackmatch.space and its application and community subdomains.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account, build a profile, upload a resume, communicate in the community, subscribe, or contact support. This may include contact details, employment history, preferences, application materials, messages, and billing-related identifiers.

We also process technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, device and browser details, authentication events, logs, and requested pages.

Optional analytics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, traffic sources, and page usage, and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation. Clarity may provide masked session replays and heatmaps.

These providers may set cookies and process technical identifiers, approximate location, device information, and interaction data. We do not intentionally send resume contents, application answers, passwords, payment details, or other sensitive form values to analytics providers.

Analytics does not load until you select “Accept analytics.” You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings control shown on StackMatch pages. Rejecting analytics does not affect core service functionality.

How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize StackMatch, match profiles with opportunities, support application workflows, operate community features, process subscriptions, communicate service messages, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve performance and usability.

Where applicable, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent. Optional analytics is based on consent.

Sharing and international processing

We share data only with service providers needed to run StackMatch, such as infrastructure, email, payment, artificial-intelligence, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity providers, or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

Some providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on contractual and legal safeguards for these transfers.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the platform. Provider-level analytics retention follows the settings in our Google and Microsoft accounts. You may request account deletion from Careers Hub settings.

We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. Careers Hub settings provide account data export and deletion controls.

To make another privacy request, contact support@stackmatch.space. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children and changes

StackMatch is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. Material changes will be communicated through the service when appropriate.
