Co-founders Omar Issa and Francisco Galvis are structural engineering PhDs out of Stanford's Blume Earthquake Engineering Center — the birthplace of modern catastrophe modeling. Omar is a second-generation structural engineer who deployed on post-disaster response at Ridgecrest and served on NIST and USGS code committees; previously Arup and KATERRA. Francisco is a third-generation engineer who survived the 1999 Armenia, Colombia earthquake, ran post-earthquake inspections in Turkey and after Hurricane Ian, and led San Francisco's non-ductile concrete ordinance work; previously Thornton Tomasetti.
